Services
The Planning and Zoning Division performs a variety of services intended to protect, maintain, and develop an attractive, safe, and healthy environment. Primary functions address property development and land use activities occurring in the City.
Responsibilities
The Planning and Zoning Division provides direction and leadership in implementing the goals, objectives, and policies as adopted by the City Council.
The Division is also responsible for the orderly development of the City and the administration of various land use regulations.

What are setbacks?
The term setback means the required distance separating a building or structure from a property line. Setback regulations can be viewed on the building permit page. For more information, please contact the City Office at (620) 564-3161.
Can I change the zoning of my property?
Zone changes require Planning Board review at a public hearing and the approval of the City Council. A request for zoning change should be submitted to the city office.
