Recreation

The Ellinwood Recreation Department provided recreation programs for many years.  In November 2012, the city council was approached about the formation of a joint recreation commission with USD 355. A motion was passed by the council to support the formation and a recreation commission board was formed.  In April 2013, this matter was placed on the ballot and approved by voters.  The Ellinwood Recreation Commission was formed on January 20, 2014.

The recreation office is located on the lower level of Sunflower Bank.
