Parks
City Park
The City Park is located at the corner of 6th & Fritz in Ellinwood. A park shelter is available for family and social gatherings. The park shelter use is on a first come first serve basis and cannot be reserved. Playground equipment is available to play on. A basketball court is also available to use. The swimming pool is adjacent to the city park.
Wolf Park & Bandshell
The Wolf Park & Bandshell is located at 2nd and Main in Ellinwood. The Bandshell is on the National Register of Historical Places. The bandshell has been used for concerts, musical productions, school and recreational activities. Wolf Park is also used during the After Harvest Festival for the kid’s fair and vendor booths after the parade.
Wolf Pond
The Wolf Pond & RV Park is located on the south side of Highway 56 (Santa Fe & Fritz) in Ellinwood. Wolf Pond is a popular destination for fishing enthusiasts. Wolf Pond is also home to the Annual Fishing Derby held during the After Harvest Festival in July. The RV Park has four sites available for rent. Each site has water and electric hook-ups, (20/30/50). An RV dump-site is located in the 500 block of Santa Fe, south of the City buildings.
Sites overlook Wolf Pond and this area is the gateway to two national wetland refuges.
The hook-up fee is $8.00 per day. Payment can be made onsite or at the City Office located at 104 East 2nd in Ellinwood. Reservations not accepted.
Pohlman Park
The Pohlman Park is located at the intersection of Humbolt and Pohlman Streets. Pohlman Park has playground equipment for children to play on. There is a covered shelter with a picnic table available. There is also a basketball court available.
Field Reservations
The City of Ellinwood has a number of fields available for reservation through the Recreation Commission at 13 North Main. For additional questions on policies and fees, or for availability information, please call (620) 566-7323. The Recreation Commission has priority on the fields. Availability of these fields are dependent upon the fields being used by the Recreation Commission.
